The leaves are mostly gone from the trees all of a sudden. We apparently had a lot of rain last weekend and the creek flooded and re-shaped itself once more. This time a deep hole that was right by the "campsite" has filled in wit hstones and a new hole has appeared further down.
It is interesting how things can change so quickly.
